Sofia Hondrogiannis 

Associate Vice President, TD Broker Services

Sofia Hondrogiannis leads the strategic vision and execution of the bank’s third-party mortgage distribution for the Greater Toronto Area. With over 25 years of expertise in residential lending, business strategy, and leadership, Sofia is widely recognized for building high-performing, results-driven teams and delivering sustainable growth.

A respected voice in the mortgage industry, Sofia is a frequent speaker on topics including the future of real estate lending, broker partnerships and leadership in financial services. She was honored with the Women of Distinction award at the 2024 Canadian Mortgage Awards and named one of the Top 50 Women of Influence by Canadian Mortgage Professional. Sofia was also featured on the Global 100 list by CMP and its international counterparts. Based in the Toronto area, Sofia is also deeply committed to community service. She serves on several cultural and charitable boards and is a dedicated Wish Granter with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Gus Stavropoulos 

CFO, Tribute Communities 

Gus has been with Tribute Communities for over 20 years, and has held the title of Chief Financial Officer for the last 8.  At Tribute, Gus is responsible for Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Human Resources, Legal, and involved with investor relations, legal structures, and acquisition analysis.   He is currently navigating over $1.5 billion in lending facilities and over 10 active projects.   Gus is an active member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, and completed his H.B. Comm and MBA at Laurentian University.   He is also an active real estate broker and registered through the Real Estate Council of Ontario. 

Gus has donated his time and money to various causes over the years, and most recently participated in the Real Estate Executive Sleepout for Covenant House, and serves as a Director on the Board for Habitat for Humanity, GTA.  With numerous appearances on the Hot Property show on CP24, past guest on various webcasts such as Real Stories, Unlimited, and TCS Conversations with Industry Leaders, and a monthly publication entitled “Real Estate Review”, Gus shares his experience and views on all things real estate.

Tim Syrianos

Tim Syrianos is the Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Ultimate Realty and RE/MAX Condos Plus, with 6 combined locations in Toronto's most sought after neighborhoods and over 420 agents. Tim's goal is to build a brokerage known for its exceptional service and leadership in Toronto's real estate market.

Tim entered the real estate industry in 1989 and has since gained extensive knowledge in residential sales, commercial ventures, and land assembly projects. He has earned various designations, including ABR, MVA, and CERC, and has received recognition for his achievements, including the 2024 RE/MAX Multi Office Broker Owner of the Year. 

Tim has been actively involved in the industry, serving since 2011 on TRREB committees and holding board positions with OREA at the provincial level, CREA at the national level and 2017/2018 TRREB President. TRREB is the largest real estate board in the world and Tim is first and only President of Greek heritage. His knowledge and expertise have been sought after as an industry speaker and has been continuously featured in numerous media interviews including newspaper, radio (CFRB “Ask the Experts”) and TV (CP24, CBC, CFTO, CTV, Omni and Global).

Ted Tsiakopoulos

Senior Economist, CMHC

Ted Tsiakopoulos is a senior economist and sought-after speaker with extensive experience analyzing real estate and financial markets. Ted recently joined CMHC’s Housing Markets Policy Division and helped lead a modelling project geared to diagnosing the structural barriers in the Canadian housing market. His team currently advises the federal housing minister on various housing market and housing finance policy measures.

Prior to joining the Housing Market Policy Division, Ted was CMHC's Chief Regional Economist providing functional guidance to a team of economists responsible for economic and housing forecasts and research. Over his professional career, his commentary and research has been published in both private and academic journals and featured across major media outlets such as Money Magazine, BNN, and CBC. Ted has received numerous requests to deliver keynote presentations to diverse audiences which included: Canadian & Ontario Home Builder Associations, RESCON, Toronto Real Estate Board, Canadian Federation of Apartment Association and Mortgage Professionals of Canada.

Throughout his career, Ted has promoted a culture of learning. Besides mentoring a number of economists across Canada, he was recently invited to teach housing economics and policy at Toronto Metropolitan University. In 2020, Ted co-authored a book that hit best seller in the US and Canada focusing on how the next generation of buyers and renters will need to manage disruptions to the real estate market. Ted is currently on the Board of Directors for the Toronto Association for Business and Economics. He holds a masters degree in economics from York and also studied at the London School of Economics in the UK.
